Professor Tae Min Rhee's research lab focuses on cardiovascular and metabolic diseases, with a strong emphasis on understanding the interplay between genetic susceptibility, environmental exposures (such as air pollution), and clinical outcomes. The lab investigates risk prediction using advanced machine learning models in conditions like hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and atrial fibrillation, while also exploring the impact of comorbidities—such as psoriasis—on thromboembolic and arrhythmic events. The addition of HBOT to standard MT is a reasonable treatment option for SSNHL, particularly for those patients with severe to profound hearing loss at baseline and those who undergo HBOT as a salvage treatment with a prolonged duration.
