Professor Young Ha Oh's research lab focuses on epigenetic mechanisms underlying cancer progression, particularly in breast cancer and colorectal cancer. The lab investigates the roles of epigenetic regulators such as DOT1L, NSD3, MTA1, and RBP2 in tumor initiation, metastasis, and therapy resistance. Key research directions include the interplay between histone modifications, transcriptional regulation, and cancer stem cell properties, as well as the tumor microenvironment and microbiome interactions in carcinogenesis. The lab integrates preclinical models, clinical cohort analyses, and multi-omics approaches to identify novel therapeutic targets.
