이 교수의 연구실은 호중구의 면역 기능, 특히 중성구외사슬망(NETs)과 그 형성 메커니즘을 중심으로 한 염증 및 자가면역질환의 병태생리학을 규명하고 있습니다. 특히 MPO-ANCA 관련 혈관염과 같은 자가면역질환에서 NETs의 과도한 형성이 어떻게 손상으로 이어지는지, 그리고 이에 대한 치료적 대안으로 IVIG 요법의 영향을 평가하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 유도세포 기반의 정량적 NETs 검출 기법 개발을 통해 임상적 응용 가능성을 높이고 있습니다.
