Akiko Satake 교수의 연구실은 식물의 다수 번식(마스팅) 현상과 그 메커니즘을 다각도로 연구하고 있습니다. 주로 자원 가용성, 수분 조건, 환경 변동성 등이 나무의 번식 주기와 동기화에 미치는 영향을 수리모델링과 장기 생태 관찰을 결합하여 분석합니다. 특히 에너지 예비량의 동적 변화와 유전자 발현을 통해 번식 전환 메커니즘을 규명하고 있으며, 다양한 식물 종에서 관찰되는 대규모 공간적 동기화 현상을 이해하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.

Summary Coupled map models for the dynamics of individuals’ energy reserves have shown that large between‐year fluctuation in tree seed crops can occur in a constant environment and that reproduction can be synchronized over the whole forest if fruit production is limited by the availability of outcross pollen. We analyzed berry production in rowan, Sorbus aucuparia L., in southern Norway and examined the ramifying effects of rowan masting on the dynamics of the dominant seed predator and its parasitoid. The apple fruit moth, Argyresthia conjugella Zeller, is a pre‐dispersal seed predator of rowan. Abstract We present a Markov chain model for land‐use dynamics in a forested landscape. This model emphasizes the importance of coupling socioeconomic and ecological processes underlying landscape change. We assume that a forest is composed of many land parcels, each of which is in one of a finite list of land‐use states. The land‐use state of each land parcel changes stochastically. The transition probability is determined by two processes: the forest succession and the decision of landowners.
