안나 마리아 크루스 교수의 연구실은 자연재해가 유발하는 기술적 사고(Natech)에 중점을 두고 있으며, 특히 지진, 홍수, 허리케인 등 자연재해가 산업시설의 유해물질 누출을 유발하는 복합재난의 원인과 영향을 분석합니다. 주요 연구 방향은 Natech 사고의 예측, 위험 평가, 기업 및 정부의 대응 전략 개선, 그리고 기후변화와 도시화가 복합재난에 미치는 영향을 포함합니다. 특히 유럽과 북미의 사례를 바탕으로 실질적인 위기 대비 및 안전 기준 마련에 기여하고 있습니다.
