Ayoung Woo 교수의 연구실은 도시 환경의 형평성과 주거 정책이 주민의 삶의 질에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 전개합니다. 주로 저소득 주거 지원 정책(예: LIHTC, 공공주택)이 위치한 지역의 보행성, 의료 접근성, 사회자본 형성 등에 미치는 영향을 다각도로 분석하며, 특히 사회적 취약성과 물리적 환경 요소가 개인 및 지역 사회의 복지에 어떻게 작용하는지 탐구합니다. 연구는 실증 데이터와 공간 분석 기법을 기반으로 하여 정책적 시사점을 도출하는 데 초점을 맞춥니다.
