A simple gram-scale synthesis of Pd-Fe(3)O(4) heterodimer nanocrystals was achieved by controlled one-pot thermolysis of a mixture solution composed of iron acetylacetonate, palladium acetylacetonate, oleylamine, and oleic acid. The heterodimer nanocrystals are composed of a 6 nm-sized Pd nanosphere and a 30 nm-sized faceted Fe(3)O(4) nanocrystal and they are soft ferrimagnetic with high saturation magnetization value and low coercivity value. The heterodimer nanocrystals exhibited good activiti
A simple synthesis of Rh-Fe(3)O(4) heterodimer nanocrystals was achieved by controlled one-pot thermolysis. The nanocrystals exhibited excellent activities for the selective reduction of nitroarenes and alkenes. Furthermore the nanocrystal catalyst could be easily separated by a magnet, and recycled eight times without losing the catalytic activity.
A magnetic personality: Commercially available Fe3O4 nanoparticles were utilized for efficient nitroarene reductions, and could be recycled up to 10 times using magnetic separation, whilst retaining activity (99 % aniline yield in each case without any side-products). Excellent chemoselectivity for reduction of the nitro versus other functional groups, such as halogen, ester, O-benzyl, and N-Cbz groups, was observed. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as ”Supporting
Transition-metal-free multicomponent reactions involving aryne precursors, secondary amines, and sulfuryl fluoride are reported herein. Zwitterionic intermediates formed from the reaction of arynes with amine nucleophiles can capture SO2F2 under mild conditions, offering a novel and practical protocol for the synthesis of 2-dialkyl-, 2-alkylaryl-, or 2-diarylamino-substituted arenesulfonyl fluoride derivatives in good to excellent yields.
[reaction: see text] Novel chiral peraza-macrocycles were synthesized from chiral aziridines as a common building block. Efficient syntheses of chiral [26]-N(6), [12]-N(4), [9]-N(3), and [14]-N(4) systems were accomplished.
Abstract Exceedingly chemoselective preparation of secondary amines from the cascade reaction of nitro reduction followed by reductive amination of the resulting amine with an aldehyde through the use of bimetallic AuPd alloy nanoparticle catalyst is described. We prepared a AuPd alloy nanocatalyst supported on Fe 3 O 4 in gram scale without calcination. One pot synthesis of a number of secondary amines was achieved from a variety of nitroarenes and aryl or alkyl aldehydes under 1 atm of H 2 at
[reaction: see text] Chiral aziridine derivative 1 was prepared from D-tartaric acid. This compound could be utilized as a common intermediate for the synthesis of hydroxyethylamine class HIV protease inhibitors such as saquinavir, amprenavir, or nelfinavir.
A novel and selective tyrosine functionalization strategy through SuFEx (sulfur fluoride exchange) chemistry is presented. In this approach, free tyrosine (Tyr) reacts selectively with aryl fluorosulfate in the presence of various nucleophilic amino acid residues in bio-tolerable conditions. Chemoselectivity of this unique SuFEx reaction was confirmed in amino acid, peptide, and protein conjugations. The functions of peptides and proteins were well-preserved as demonstrated from the Tyr-specific
Efficient one-pot oxidative esterification of 5-hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) to furan-2,5-dimethylcarboxylate (FDMC) was achieved under extremely mild reaction conditions by using AuPd alloy nanoparticles (NPs) supported on Fe3 O4 . A high yield of FDMC (92 %) was obtained at room temperature under atmospheric O2 . The reaction proceeded through the synergistic effects of the AuPd heterobimetallic catalyst system. The most effective molar ratio of noble metal cont
A new highly selective and environment-friendly Wacker oxidation process employing superparamagnetic Pd–Fe3O4 heterodimer nanocrystals in EtOH–H2O under 1 atm O2 has been developed. Consistently high yields of the desired Wacker product and excellent reaction selectivity were observed in almost all of the reactions examined. This operationally simple oxidation protocol allows recycling of the Pd–Fe3O4 catalyst after the reaction through the use of an external magnet.
An efficient, iterative, catalytic, Wacker-type oxidation of alkynes to 1,2-diketones using a Pd–Fe3O4 heterodimer nanocrystalline catalyst has been developed.
Abstract Novel Buchwald–Hartwig aminations of aryl fluorosulfonates using a catalytic amount of Pd(PPh 3 ) 4 in the presence of Cs 2 CO 3 are described. From these reactions, a variety of biaryl amines were obtained in moderate to good yields. This system allows for the efficient amination of aromatic groups containing electron‐rich as well as electron‐poor functional groups. Aryl fluorosulfonates could be applied as alternative cross‐coupling partners to aryl halides in palladium‐catalyzed amin
