Chungyoon Chun 교수의 연구실은 실내 환경의 열적 쾌적함과 수면 품질 간의 상관관계를 중심으로, 나이, 성별, 환경 조건에 따른 열인지 및 생리적 반응을 다룹니다. 주로 주거 환경, 차량 내부 환경, 노인 및 아동의 열 쾌적성에 초점을 맞추며, 전자화학적 생체신호(예: 뇌파, 피부온도)를 활용한 열 쾌적성 측정 기법 개발도 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 실내 환경 요소와 수면, 건강 간의 상관관계를 실증적으로 분석하는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

A cross-sectional study on the home environment and asthma and allergy in children was carried out among children 1–8 years old in Seoul, South Korea from 2009 to 2010. Questionnaires were distributed to 5107 parents through daycare centers and kindergartens; 2755 parents responded, a response rate of 54%. This study aims to develop a method to predict thermal sensation in elderly people. To identify the point on the body where skin temperature can best predict thermal sensation in elderly people aged 65 or older and develop a thermal comfort measurement model that can replace the psychological scale, experiments were conducted in a stainless steel wall finish climate chamber and at the seven senior welfare centres in Korea.
