Cong Huang 교수의 연구실은 농업 유전체학과 분자생물학을 융합한 연구를 중심으로, 면화의 생장 특성 유전적 구조 규명과 함께, 미세소RNA가 골세포 분화에 미치는 영향을 규명하는 분야에서도 활발한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히, 유전자 연관 분석(GWAS)과 세포 및 분자 생물학적 기법을 접목해 농업생명공학 및 뼈 대사 조절 메커니즘을 탐구하고 있습니다. 또한, 대사질환과 신체기능 간의 연관성에 대한 인구기반 연구를 통해 건강 및 질병 메커니즘을 종합적으로 분석하고 있습니다.

Gossypium hirsutum L. represents the largest source of textile fibre, and China is one of the largest cotton-producing and cotton-consuming countries in the world. To investigate the genetic architecture of the agronomic traits of upland cotton in China, a diverse and nationwide population containing 503 G. hirsutum accessions was collected for a genome-wide association study (GWAS) on 16 agronomic traits. This population-based cross-sectional study shows for the first time that hyperuricemia is associated with poor muscle strength. Moreover, the results indicate an inverted J-shaped association between serum UA quartiles and muscle strength.
Despite extensive research on osteoblast differentiation and proliferation in mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs), the accurate mechanism remains to be further elucidated. MicroRNAs have been reported to be key regulators of osteoblast differentiation and proliferation.
