다이진 김 교수의 연구실은 구조해석 및 재료 거동 분석 분야에서 주로 활동하며, 특히 유한요소법 기반의 고도화된 수치해석 기법을 활용해 복잡한 기하구조와 균열, 손상 등 미세한 거동을 정밀하게 모델링하는 데 전문성을 가진다. 3차원 균열 해석, 모듈러형 스틸 프레임 시스템의 구조적 성능 평가, 그리고 구조물의 내구성과 안정성 향상을 위한 실험 및 해석적 연구를 중심으로 진행된다. 특히 GFEM(Genetic Finite Element Method) 및 글로벌-로컬 해법을 응용한 고정밀 해석 기법 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있다.

Abstract This paper presents a generalized finite element method (GFEM) based on the solution of interdependent global (structural) and local (crack)‐scale problems. The local problems focus on the resolution of fine‐scale features of the solution in the vicinity of three‐dimensional cracks, while the global problem addresses the macro‐scale structural behavior.
