2D and 3D structures of La-1,4-cyclohexanedicarboxylates (chdc) coordination networks, have been constructed using flexible chdc ligands which can have cis and trans conformations of two dicarboxylate groups, controlled by the solution pH in hydrothermal reaction conditions.
Improving the stability and tuning the optical properties of semiconducting perovskites are vital for their applications in advanced optoelectronic devices. We present a facile synthetic method for hybrid composites of perovskites and metal-organic frameworks (MOFs). A simple two-step solution-based method without organic surfactants was employed to make all-inorganic lead-halide perovskites (CsPbX3; X = Cl, Br, I, or mixed halide compositions) form directly in the pores of MIL-101 MO
The orientation-controlled LDH crystals on Si substrates were intercalated by dicarboxylate ions to give the anisotropic layer expansion.
A polydopamine (PDA) thin film with a dense and conformal surface was prepared under optimized deposition conditions using O2 gas as an oxygen source. The PDA-based organic phototransistors exhibited high photosensitivity and photo-controlled switching properties under light illumination.
In compression plating, anatomical reduction and compression across the fracture site are the basic principles necessary to achieve primary bone healing. However, varying amounts of gap at the fracture site frequently occur due to technical pitfalls, such as overbending of the plate and inaccurate reduction, and due to the fracture configuration itself. Little is known as to how fracture gap affects stability of the bone-plate construct. We analyzed the effects of fracture gap size (1 and 4 mm)
We report the characteristic magnetic behaviors of nonemissive (N416) and green emissive (G416) Cs4PbBr6 perovskite crystals. N416 exhibits a diamagnetic behavior, while G416 shows an additional superparamagnetic behavior, demonstrating the existence of paramagnetic electron spins in the G416. Although G416 and N416 crystals belong to the same rhombohedra unit cell with zero-dimensional (0D) connectivity of the [PbBr6]4– octahedron, the G416 crystal has a smaller unit cell volume than N416. 133C
Abstract A novel 2‐dimensional catalytic system was developed in which platinum nanoparticles (Pt NPs) were immobilized on exfoliated MgAl‐layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanosheets through an electrostatic self‐assembly between negatively charged Pt NPs and positively charged LDH nanosheets. The LDH nanosheets effectively provided the large double sides of hydroxide functionality to absorb the Pt NPs, as well as fast diffusion rates of the incoming reactants into catalyst surfaces. This new nano
A novel nanostructured hybrid PMMA/MgAl-LDH thin film enables a strong UV-blocking effect, up to 97% below 300 nm, and excellent visible transparency. The graft density of PMMA films can be controlled by adjusting the area coverage of immobilized LDH monolayer with a highly-orientated structure on oxide, metal, and polymer substrates. Detailed facts of importance to specialist readers are published as ”Supporting Information”. Such documents are peer-reviewed, but not copy-edited or typeset. The
Four new heterometallic glutarate coordination polymers, [Eu2M(H2O)4][O2C(CH2)3CO2]4·2H2O (M = Mn (1), Fe (2), Co (3) and Ni (4)) have been obtained under hydrothermal synthesis. The single-crystal X-ray diffraction analyses showed that they have two-dimensional frameworks based on the linear polyhedral chains consisting of two nine-coordinated Eu(III)O9 and a six-coordinated M(II)O6. These 1-D MO6–Eu2O16 chains are cross-linked by glutarate ligands as an interchain pillared architecture, whose
A new photoactive thin film of layered double hydroxide (LDH) nanocrystals containing fluorescein dyes (LDH-F) has been developed by self-assembly of the LDH nanocrystals and well-controlled intercalation of the dyes in organic media. XRD results and absorption spectra confirmed the highly oriented interlayer arrangement of the dianionic form of the fluorescein dyes in the LDH interlayers, in which the dye molecules were electrostatically immobilized between the positively charged LDH layers wit
Ir(VI) in an octahedral coordination has been stabilized in the oxides Ba 2 MIrO 6 (M=Ca, Sr) with ordered perovskite structures by use of high oxygen pressures. The oxidation state of Ir with the t 3 2g e 0 g electronic configuration is confirmed by iodometric titration, magnetic measurement and Mossbauer spectroscopy. The powder x-ray diffraction at room temperature can be indexed in the cubic-ordered structure for Ba 2 CaIrO 6 and the rhombohedral one for Ba 2 SrIrO 6
