Euna Han 교수의 연구실은 건강 불평등, 심리적 정서적 건강, 노령 및 소득 차원의 건강 결과에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 체질량지수와 임금 간의 관계, 정신건강 서비스 이용 격차, 고령자에서의 자살 위험 요인, 약물 복용 준수 등 건강 행동과 사회경제적 요인 간의 상호작용을 다룹니다. 식품 소비 패턴의 사회경제적·인종적 격차 분석을 통해 건강 격차의 원인을 규명하고자 합니다.

Past empirical work has shown a negative relationship between the body mass index (BMI) and wages in most cases. We improve on this work by allowing the marginal effect of non-linear BMI groups to vary by gender, age, and type of interpersonal relationships required in each occupation. Researches can rely on classification of food stores in commercial datasets for supermarkets and grocery stores whereas classifications for convenience and specialty food stores are subject to some systematic bias by neighborhood racial/ethnic composition.
Future research should examine the causes for racial disparity in the use of prescription drugs for mental illness both in the extensive and intensive margins. An in-depth analysis is needed to map out the attributes for the observed disparity between Whites and racial minorities in mental health service use.
Our findings revealed that poverty is a risk factor for death by suicide in older adults. Suicide prevention strategies for older adults should be specifically tailored by income level.

South Korea is following the global nutrition transition toward greater consumption of SSBs. However, unlike other developed countries, SSB consumption prevalence was higher among high-SES individuals, particularly for fruit drinks and miscellaneous SSBs.
