이 교수의 연구실은 인공지능이 의료 현장에서 소비자에게 어떻게 수용되는지, 그리고 인간과의 상호작용에서 심리적·신경생물학적 메커니즘이 작동하는지를 중심으로 연구합니다. 특히 의료 AI의 개인화, 인격화(anthropomorphism)가 소비자의 의사결정과 정서적 웰빙에 미치는 영향을 행동 및 뇌영상(fMRI, ERP)을 통해 탐구합니다. 또한 소비자의 생태의식, 고립감, 성별 정체성이 기술과의 상호작용에 미치는 영향 등 사회적·윤리적 요소를 통합한 신경소비자학 연구를 진행하고 있습니다.

본 연구는 과도하게 편향되었을지라도 자신의 능력에 대해 긍정적인 자기평가를 하는 것이 바람직한지, 아니면 객관적이고 정확한 자기평가가 오히려 더 적응에 도움이 되는지 검증하는데 목적이 있었다. 이를 위해 경기교육종단연구의 1차년도(중1)에서 3차년도(중3)의 4051명 자료를 활용하여 수학교과에 대한 과대자신감과 자기평가 정확성이 수학 학업참여에 미치는 단기효과와 장기효과가 어떠한지 살펴보고, 더 나아가 이러한 효과가 학생들의 수학 성취수준에 따라 어떠한 차이가 있는지 살펴보았다. 구조방정식 모형을 검증한 결과, 긍정적으로 편향되었을지라도 높은 수준의 자기효능감은 단기적 및 장기적으로 학업참여의 증진을 예측하였지만, 이러한 효과는 성취수준에 따라 차이가 있었다. 고성취 학생들의 경우 과대자신감의 단기효과가 장기적으로도 안정적으로 유의미하게 유지된 반면, 저성취 학생들의 경우 과대자신감의 단기효과는 오히려 고성취 학생들에 비해 강했음에도 불구하고 이러한 효과는 장기적으로 유지되지 못하
