Eun-Kyung Kim 교수의 연구실은 초음파 영상 진단 기반의 갑상선 결절 평가와 관련된 정밀 분류 체계 개발에 주력하고 있으며, 특히 BI-RADS 분류 체계의 임상적 유용성과 전문 영상의사의 평가 정확도 향상에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한 면역염증 반응이 관여하는 류머티스성 관절염에서의 비만세포 기반 세포 기전(특히 IL-17이 유도하는 세포 사멸 저항성 및 미토콘드리아 기능 이상)에 대한 분자 생물학적 연구도 수행하고 있습니다. 최근에는 전기화학적 DNA 센서 기반의 고감도 유전자 진단 기술 개발을 통해 진단 생물학 분야로 연구 영역을 확장하고 있습니다.
