Au@Pd core-shell nanodendrites were synthesized by reducing H(2)PdCl(4) with ascorbic acid onto the surface of Au polyhedra at room temperature. The Au@Pd core-shell nanodendrites consisting of a Au core and nanoporous Pd shell, exhibited plasmonic properties and higher catalytic activity in comparison with Au@Pd core-shell nanocubes.
Bacterial cellulose/polyaniline (BC/PANI) nanocomposites display many potential applications in various fields. However, the conductivity and mechanical properties remain a challenge. Here, we developed a novel method to prepare BC/PANI nanocomposites via the chemical grafting of PANI onto epoxy modified BC (EBC), followed by the grafting of polyacrylamide (PAM). For comparison, an in situ BC/PANI sample was also prepared. The grafting reaction between PANI and EBC and the retention of PANI on E
The reaction of N-rich pyrazinyl triazolyl carboxyl ligand 3-(4-carboxylbenzene)-5-(2-pyrazinyl)-1H-1,2,4-triazole (H2 cbptz) with MnCl2 afforded 3D cationic metal-organic framework (MOF) [Mn2 (Hcbptz)2 (Cl)(H2 O)]Cl⋅DMF⋅0.5 CH3 CN (1), which has an unusual (3,4)-connected 3,4T1 topology and 1D channels composed of cavities. MOF 1 has a very polar framework that contains exposed metal sites, uncoordinated N atoms, narrow channels, and Cl(-) basic sites, which lead to not only high CO2 uptake, bu
Abstract. The Shanggong Au deposit in the Xiong'er Terrane, East Qinling, has reserves of about 30 t Au, making it one of the largest orogenic‐type Au deposits hosted in volcanic rocks in China. The deposit is hosted in the andesitic assemblage of the Xiong'er Group of 1.85˜1.4 Ga. Three stages of hydrothermal ore‐forming processes are recognized, Early (E), Middle (M) and Late (L), characterised by quartz‐pyrite, polymetallic sulfides and carbonate‐quartz, respectively. Homogenization temperatu
(Au nanorod)-(metal sulfide) core-shell structures are synthesized by employing Au nanorods as the starting reactants and metal thiobenzoates as the metal sulfide precursors in the presence of Ag(+) ions. The gas-sensing property of the prepared (Au nanorod)-CdS sensor exhibit a significantly enhanced response and higher sensitivity in comparison with a CdS sensor.
Waterborne polyaniline (PANI) dispersion has got extensive attention due to its environmental friendliness and good processability, whereas the storage stability and mechanical property have been the challenge for the waterborne PANI composites. Here we prepare for waterborne PANI dispersion through the chemical graft polymerisation of PANI into epichlorohydrin modified poly (vinyl alcohol) (EPVA). In comparison with waterborne PANI dispersion prepared through physical blend and in situ polymeri
ABSTRACT A type of water dispersible graphene (PG) has been synthesized by nucleophilic ring‐opening reaction of the primary amine group in 3‐(1‐(2‐aminopropoxy) propan‐2‐ylamino) propane‐1‐sulfonate sodium (PPS) with epoxy groups on the basal plane of graphene oxide (GO), followed by in situ reduction with hydrazine hydrate. The PG is employed as nanoscale reinforcement fillers in waterborne acrylic modified alkyd resin (AMAR) coatings. The stability and corrosion resistance of the waterborne P
Abstract Designing reasonable atomic structures is essential in modulating the selectivity of the valuable products produced in the electrochemical CO 2 reduction. Herein, a CuSn diatomic sites electrocatalyst stabilized by double oxygen vacancies on CeO 2‐x is constructed, which exhibits superior electrochemical selectivity toward formate, achieving a 90.0% Faradaic efficiency at formate partial current density of 216.8 mA cm −2 with the applied bias of −1.2 V versus REH. The experimental char
Metal phosphides as anode materials for alkali-metal ion batteries have captured considerable interest due to their high theoretical capacities and electronic conductivity. However, they suffer from huge volume expansion and element segregation during repetitive insertion/extraction of guest ions, leading to structure deterioration and rapid capacity decay. Herein, an amorphous Sn0.5Ge0.5P3 was constructed through a two-phase intermediate strategy based on the el
