한상유 교수의 연구실은 주로 병원성 세균 및 바이러스, 특히 병원성 미생물의 분자생물학적 특성과 감염 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 콘드릴러스 퍼프링엔스, 항생제 내성 세균, 그리고 허브 바이러스(HEV) 등의 진단 및 유전자 분석을 통해 동물과 인간 간의 병원성 미생물 전파를 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 백신 및 항원 전달 시스템 개발을 위한 나노입자 기반 전달 기술에 대한 연구도 진행 중이며, 동물-인간-환경 간의 병원체 공생 관계를 고려한 통합적 연구를 추구하고 있습니다.

Clostridium perfringens has been classified into five toxigenic types (A through E) on the basis of its capability to produce major lethal toxins (alpha, beta, epsilon, and iota toxins). In this study, we focused on determining the distribution and prevalence of major plasmid replicons in β-lactam-resistant Escherichia fergusonii and Enterobacteriaceae of animal and human origin. A high degree of plasmid variability and multiple plasmid replicons were observed among the isolates.
