Hana Yi 교수의 연구실은 주로 환경 미생물학과 분자 생물학을 융합한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 식물 기반의 환경 복원(식물정화)에서 유전자 변형 식물이 토양 미생물군에 미치는 영향을 분석하고, 도시 환경(유치원, 초등학교 등)의 공기 중 미생물 군집 구조를 고속 시퀀싱 기반으로 규명하는 데 주력하고 있습니다. 또한, 박테리아의 전사체 분석을 위한 rRNA 제거 기법 개발과 극한 환경에서 분리된 신규 균주(남극, 갯벌, 해양 등)의 분류학적 특성 규명에도 기여하고 있습니다.

A yellow-pigmented, Gram-negative and aerobic bacterial strain, designated AT1026(T), was isolated from a terrestrial sample from the Antarctic.
