Moringa oleifera is one of the popular functional foods that has been tremendously exploited for synthesis of a vast majority of metal nanoparticles (NPs). The diverse secondary metabolites present in this plant turn it into a green tool for synthesis of different NPs with various biological activities. In this review, we discussed different types of NPs including silver, gold, titanium oxide, iron oxide, and zinc oxide NPs produced from the extract of different parts of M. oleifera. Different p
<i>Origanum vulgare</i> essential oil (EO) is traditionally well-known for its aromatic properties and biomedical applications, including anticancer. This was the first report where oregano essential oil-based nano emulsion (OENE) was synthesized for studying its effects on prostate cancer cell lines (PC3). At first, we have synthesized OENE and characterized using various spectroscopic analyses. The toxicity and inhibitory concentration (IC50) of OENE toward prostate cancer by MTT an
The assessment of AgNPs toxicity in vitro and in vivo models are frequently conflicting and inaccurate. Nevertheless, single cell immunological responses in a heterogenous environment have received little attention. Therefore, in this study, we have performed in-depth analysis which clearly revealed cellular-metal ion association as well as specific immunological response. Our study didn't show significant population differences in PMBC between control and AgNPs group implying no toxicological r
Given that stomach cancer is the fourth leading cause of cancer-related death, there is a need to develop new drugs. Among various methods, metal-based coordination compounds are considered as an efficient strategy against this type of cancer. Similarly, the benzimidazole moiety plays a crucial role in biology; thus, various benzimidazole-based compounds have been found to be active as potential anticancer drugs and are currently used in clinical trials. In this study, we explored the benzimidaz
The prospective use of food additive titanium dioxide (E171 TiO2) in a variety of fields (food, pharmaceutics, and cosmetics) prompts proper cellular cytotoxicity and transcriptomic assessment. Interestingly, smaller-sized E171 TiO2 can translocate in bloodstream and induce a diverse immunological response by activating the immune system, which can be either pro-inflammatory or immune-suppressive. Nevertheless, their cellular or immunologic responses in a heterogeneous popu
ABSTRACT Triple‐negative breast cancer (TNBC) is a heterogeneous and one of the most common cancers characterized by diverse histological subtypes, molecular profiles, and clinical outcomes, especially in women. In this investigation, the development of copper(Cu)‐tris((1H‐benzo[d]imidazol‐2‐yl)methyl)amine (NTB) or [Cu(NTB)(OH 2 )](ClO 4 ) 2 complex was initiated and further characterized by UV‐visible spectroscopy, IR, and 1 H NMR spectroscopy to understand the physicochemical properties of th
The precise identification of immune cell type responses to alcoholic steatohepatitis (ASH) at the single-cell level remains unresolved. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed heterogeneous immune leukocytes associated with ASH at the single-cell level using high-dimensional single-cell RNA sequencing in alcoholic liver disease (ALD)-induced and healthy control mice. A t-distributed stochastic neighbor embedding plot for dimensionality reduction and 2D visualization was used to visualize heteroge
Abstract The effects of geraniol on cell cycle related pathway in AGS using RNA sequencing have not been explored and it is largely unknown. In this study, we isolated geraniol from Cymbopogon martini (palmarosa) essential oil using various spectroscopic analyses. At first, we carried out the cytotoxicity of geraniol on AGS cells. In-depth RNA sequencing analysis showed that geraniol negatively regulated genes that specifically initiate double-strand break repair via DNA replication, mitotic G1,
