히로아키 히데카즈 교수의 연구실은 단백질 구조와 기능, 특히 인트리닉히어어리 디스오더드 단백질(IDP), 페록시소좀과 미세소관의 기능적 분해능, 그리고 세포막 단백질의 상호작용 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. NMR 분석과 구조 생물학적 접근을 통해 단백질의 비정형적 구조와 상호작용, 고유한 도메인 기능을 규명하고 있으며, 이는 신경퇴행성 질환, 암의 간세포 기반 치료 전략 개발에 기여하고 있습니다. 특히, 단백질-단백질 상호작용의 구조 기반 설계와 효율적인 단백질 정제 및 표지 방법 개발에도 주력하고 있습니다.

Katanin p60 (kp60), a microtubule-severing enzyme, plays a key role in cytoskeletal reorganization during various cellular events in an ATP-dependent manner.
