히토시 사카키바라 교수의 연구실은 식물에서의 호르몬 신호 전달, 특히 사이토크라인의 생합성, 수송, 신호전달 메커니즘을 중심으로 식물의 전체 생장과 발달을 조절하는 분자적 기전을 연구하고 있습니다. 특히 뿌리와 줄기 간의 신호 전달 및 사이토크라인의 체내 균형 유지 메커니즘을 규명하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있으며, 환경 변화에 대한 식물의 적응 메커니즘을 이해하는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

Cytokinins (CKs) play a crucial role in various phases of plant growth and development, but the basic molecular mechanisms of their biosynthesis and signal transduction only recently became clear.
