Hye Jin Yoo 교수의 연구실은 대사증후군과 관련된 대사질환, 특히 당뇨병과 비알코올성 간지방증이 혈관질환에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 간에서 분비되는 헤파토키나와 지방조직에서 분비되는 아디포카인 등 생체 활성 단백질이 동맥경화 및 혈관 stiffness의 발달에 미치는 영향을 규명하고 있으며, 이를 통해 새로운 생물학적 마커와 치료 타겟을 탐색하고 있습니다. 특히, 혈관 기능 이상과 대사 이상 간의 분자 기전을 밝히는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다.
