Hye-Jin Kim 교수의 연구실은 주로 세포 이동성과 관련된 분자 기전, 특히 혈관 평滑근세포의 이동과 염증 반응을 조절하는 전사 인자 NF-kappaB 및 MMP-9의 기전을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 또한 신경계 질환, 뇌경색의 영상학적 특성, 동물 모델에서의 비정상성 종양(예: 지방성 림프종)의 진단 및 수술적 치료에 관한 임상적 연구도 함께 수행하고 있습니다. 최근에는 폐암 조기 진단을 위한 인공지능 기반 영상 분석 기술 개발에도 기여하고 있어, 분자생물학에서 임상의학, 딥러닝 기반 의료영상 진단까지의 융합 연구가 두드러집니다.

이 연구의 궁극적 목표는 한국어 학습자들이 한국인의 정서 혹은 정신문화의 한 요소인 흥을 이해하여 한국 문화에 대한 심층적인 이해를도모함은 물론 이를 바탕으로 상호 문화적 능력을 향상시키는 데 있다. 상호 문화적 능력은 의사소통 능력과 문화 능력의 기저로 작용하는 중요한 요소로써 외국어 학습 혹은 외국 문화와의 교류 시, 목표 언어와 문화의 습득을 위해 필수적으로 획득해야 하는 능력이다. 한편 ‘흥’은 즐거움, 기쁨, 상쾌함과 같은 긍정적이고 즐거운 기분을향유하는 데서 오는 양(陽)의 정서로 한국인의 사회・역사・문화적 배경 아래 형성되어 한국인의 정신세계나 일상생활 속에 많이 내재되어있다. 본고에서는 한국어 학습자의 상호 문화적 능력 향상을 위해서한국 정신문화의 한 요소인 ‘흥’을 이해할 필요가 있다고 보고, 대상텍스트로 한국의 고전 판소리인 <흥부가> 및 시조, 가사, 잡가, 민요등의 고전 문학 제재를 선정하여 대상과의 교감을 통한 흥, 즉흥적 성격으로서의 흥, 낙관적 성격으로서의
