In this work, organic photovoltaics (OPV) with graphene electrodes are constructed where the effect of graphene morphology, hole transporting layers (HTL), and counter electrodes are presented. Instead of the conventional poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene)/poly(styrenesulfonate) PEDOT:PSS HTL, an alternative transition metal oxide HTL (molybdenum oxide (MoO(3))) is investigated to address the issue of surface immiscibility between graphene and PEDOT:PSS. Graphene films considered here are synthesi
In this work graphene sheets grown by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with controlled numbers of layers were used as transparent electrodes in organic photovoltaic (OPV) devices. It was found that for devices with pristine graphene electrodes, the power conversion efficiency (PCE) is comparable to their counterparts with indium tin oxide (ITO) electrodes. Nevertheless, the chances for failure in OPVs with pristine graphene electrodes are higher than for those with ITO electrodes, due to the surf
Advancements in the field of flexible high-efficiency solar cells and other optoelectronic devices will strongly depend on the development of electrode materials with good conductivity and flexibility. To address chemical and mechanical instability of currently used indium tin oxide (ITO), graphene has been suggested as a promising flexible transparent electrode but challenges remain in achieving high efficiency of graphene-based polymer solar cells (PSCs) compared to their ITO-based counterpart
Growth of semiconducting nanostructures on graphene would open up opportunities for the development of flexible optoelectronic devices, but challenges remain in preserving the structural and electrical properties of graphene during this process. We demonstrate growth of highly uniform and well-aligned ZnO nanowire arrays on graphene by modifying the graphene surface with conductive polymer interlayers. On the basis of this structure, we then demonstrate graphene cathode-based hybrid solar cells
A vacuum-deposited highly ordered butylammonium-based Ruddlesden–Popper phase perovskite is introduced as a passivation layer for highly efficient and stable inverted perovskite solar cells.
ABSTRACT Course Management Systems (CMSs) in higher education have emerged as one of the most widely adopted e‐learning platforms. This study examines the success of e‐learning CMSs based on user satisfaction and benefits. Using DeLone and McLean's information system success model as a theoretical framework, we analyze the success of e‐learning CMSs in five dimensions: system quality, information quality, instructional quality, user satisfaction, and CMS benefits. An analysis of survey data coll
Metal-based transparent conductive electrodes (TCEs) are attractive candidates for application in indium tin oxide (ITO)-free solar cells due to their excellent electrical conductivity and cost effectiveness. In perovskite solar cells (PSCs), metal-induced degradation with the perovskite layer leads to various detrimental effects, deteriorating the device performance and stability. Here, we introduce a novel flexible hybrid TCE consisting of a Cu grid-embedded polyimide film and a graphene cappi
Chemical vapor deposition (CVD) using liquid-phase precursors has emerged as a viable technique for synthesizing uniform large-area transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) thin films. However, the liquid-phase precursor-assisted growth process typically suffers from small-sized grains and unreacted transition metal precursor remainders, resulting in lower-quality TMDs. Moreover, synthesizing large-area TMD films with a monolayer thickness is also quite challenging. Herein, we successfully synthesi
Abstract Tin oxide has made a major breakthrough in high‐efficiency perovskite solar cells (PSCs) as an efficient electron transport layer by the low‐temperature chemical bath deposition method. However, tin oxide often contains pernicious defects, resulting in unsatisfactory performance. Herein, we develop high‐quality tin oxide films via a nitrogen‐doping strategy for high‐efficiency and stable planar PSCs. The aligned energy level at the interface of doped SnO 2 /perovskite, more excellent ch
The high transparency of graphene, together with its good electrical conductivity and mechanical robustness, enable its use as transparent electrodes in optoelectronic devices such as solar cells. While initial demonstrations of graphene-based organic photovoltaics (OPV) have been promising, realization of scalable technologies remains challenging due to their performance and, critically, poor device reproducibility and yield. In this work, we demonstrate by engineering the interface between gra
Two-dimensional (2D) materials have been promoted as an ideal platform for surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy (SERS), as they mitigate the drawbacks of noble metal-based SERS substrates. However, the inferior limit of detection has limited the practical applicability of 2D material-based SERS substrates. Here, we synthesize uniform large-area ReO<i>x</i>S<i>y</i> thin films via solution-phase deposition without post-treatments and demonstrate a graphene/ReO<i>x</i></s
For the successful integration of graphene as a transparent conducting electrode in organic solar cells, proper energy level alignment at the interface between the graphene and the adjacent organic layer is critical. The role of a hole transporting layer (HTL) thus becomes more significant due to the generally lower work function of graphene compared to ITO. A commonly used HTL material with ITO anodes is poly(3,4-ethylenedioxythiophene) (PEDOT) with poly(styrenesulfonate) (PSS) as the solid-sta
Graphene has been proposed as a promising transparent conducting electrode material in organic photovoltaic (OPV) solar cells to substitute the widely used indium tin oxide (ITO). Various studies have reported OPV devices with graphene electrodes showing comparable performances to ITO-based OPV cells. However, the fabrication reliability or device yield has not been widely discussed. In our investigation it was found that graphene-based OPVs tend to have much lower device yield than the ITO-base
Abstract Significant efforts have been devoted to modulating the grain size and improving the film quality of perovskite in perovskite solar cells (PSCs). Adding materials to the perovskite is especially promising for high‐performance PSCs, because the additives effectively control the crystal structure. Although the additive engineering approach has substantially boosted the efficiency of PSCs, instability of the perovskite film has remained a primary bottleneck for the commercialization of PSC
The project delivery method has a great impact on project performance and construction quality. The numerous studies on the project performance of the two project delivery methods, design-bid-build (DBB) and design-build (DB), have found differing results depending on the project locations, the project types, and the project sizes. Since no previous studies have been conducted with regard to large-sized apartment housing projects, this paper presents the comparative analysis results for the proj
