이 교수의 연구실은 위암 치료의 예후 예측 및 치료 전략 개선을 목표로 하며, 영양 및 면역 상태 평가 지표인 PNI의 임상적 의미를 규명하고 있습니다. 특히 위암 환자의 수술 후 예후와 관련된 면역-영양 지표의 역할, 병행 수술 방법의 영향, 그리고 철분 대사 이상의 메커니즘을 중심으로 기초와 임상 연구를 융합한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 또한, 췌장 이식의 최적 이식 부위 선정에 관한 실험적 연구를 통해 이식 성공률 향상 전략을 모색하고 있습니다.

Although the liver is the most common site for pancreatic islet transplantation, it is not optimal. We compared kidney, liver, muscle, and omentum as transplantation sites with regard to operative feasibility, and the efficiency of implantation and glycemic control. Iron deficiency occurs in most patients with gastric cancer after gastrectomy, and its incidence was different according to the extent of gastrectomy and reconstruction method. To improve iron metabolism after distal gastrectomy, gastroduodenostomy would be the method of reconstruction whenever possible.
