김현규 교수의 연구실은 정신건강과 신체 건강 간의 상호작용을 중심으로 한 종합적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 주로 청소년 및 성인을 대상으로 수면, 운동, 근력 변화와 정서적 불안, 우울 증상 간의 인과관계를 분석하며, 특히 성별 차이와 생활습관 요소가 정신건강에 미치는 영향을 집중적으로 연구하고 있습니다. 또한 피부질환 치료 신소재 개발과 같은 임상적 응용 연구도 병행하고 있어, 예방의학과 임상 신약 개발의 다학제적 융합 연구를 추구하고 있습니다.
