이치조 야기 교수의 연구실은 주로 연료전지와 에너지 저장 장치에서의 산소 분해 반응(ORR)을 효율적으로 촉진하는 고성능 전기화학 촉매 개발을 핵심으로 합니다. 비백금족 금속 기반 촉매, 특히 철-질소 도핑 탄소 및 구리 기반 촉매, 금 나노클러스터 등 비백금 촉매의 구조-활성 상관관계를 분석하고 있으며, 전자적 성질과 나노구조 제어를 통한 활성도 및 내구성 향상 전략을 모색하고 있습니다. 고해상도 전자현미경 및 현장 분석 기술을 활용한 나노구조 촉매의 실시간 특성 분석도 주요 연구 방법입니다.

The oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) is a key reaction in polymer electrolyte fuel cells and metal–air batteries. In these electrochemical systems, platinum group metals (PGMs) have been widely used as ORR electrocatalysts.
