이 교수의 연구실은 항생제 내성 유전자 및 환경 내 병원성 미생물의 전파를 중심으로 한 생태독성학과 환경 미생물학을 연구합니다. 특히, 마지막 수단 항생제에 대한 내성 메커니즘(예: 티제시클린, 콜리스틴 내성)과 이들의 환경 전파를 다루며, 도시 하수, 강, 호수 등 다양한 수환경에서 항생제 내성의 분포와 영향을 분석합니다. 또한 생물막, 유전자 요소, 유기물 등 환경 요인과 미생물 군집 간의 상호작용을 고해상도 분석 기법을 통해 규명하고자 합니다.
