이 교수의 연구실은 세포 부착, 아폽토시스 세포 제거, 염증 조절 및 암 미세환경에서의 신호 전달 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, stabilin-2를 통한 인지질세포막 인식 및 면역조절 기능, TGF-베타 유도 단백질인 betaig-h3의 세포 부착 기능, CBF 전사 인자 복합체의 구조 기반 기능 해석 등 분자 수준의 분자 메커니즘 규명에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한 암성 혈관병변을 대상으로 한 표적 페트디자인 및 약물 전달 시스템 개발도 함께 진행 중입니다.
