RF ablation appears to be a safe and promising procedure for the treatment of inoperable NSCLC and metastases.
A foreign body granuloma is a non-allergic chronic inflammatory reaction that is mainly composed of multinucleated giant cells. Foreign body granulomas may occur after the administration of any dermal filler. Factors such as the volume of the injection, impurities present in the fillers, and the physical properties of fillers affect granuloma formation. The formation of granulomas involves five phases: protein adsorption, macrophage adhesion, macrophage fusion, and crosstalk. The clinical and pa
Dynamic 3D-GRE MRI with MRCP shows superior tumor conspicuity and similar diagnostic performance compared with MDCT in evaluating the resectability of pancreatic cancer.
This paper proposes a 10-kW power conditioning system for a 5-kW solid oxide fuel cells (SOFCs) low-voltage battery hybrid power generation that has been developed for participation in the 2003 Future Energy Challenge Competition organized by the U.S. Department of Energy and the IEEE. The objective of the competition was to develop a fuel cell inverter with minimum requirement for cost of $40/kW and efficiency of 90%. The proposed power conditioning system consists of the front-end dc-dc conver
Although to differentiate mass-forming AIP from pancreatic cancer is difficult, the combination of MRI findings including contrast-enhanced dynamic images, MRCP, and DWI can be a help.
MRE is a promising tool for evaluating HF and has high reproducibility of the examination as well as reproducibility and repeatability of the stiffness measurements.
MRE could be a promising, noninvasive technique with excellent diagnostic accuracy for detecting significant HF and liver cirrhosis.
The diagnostic accuracy of 3T MRI is comparable to that of MDCT for the preoperative TNM staging of gastric cancer, and for assessing LN metastasis, the addition of DWI to conventional MRI may increase the sensitivity.
