김지훈 교수의 연구실은 갑상선 질환, 특히 낮은 위험도의 갑상선 미세암과 양성 갑상선 놈에 대한 비침습적 치료법 개발에 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 주로 갑상선 놨의 열성 레이저 또는 라디오파频 열성 기계적 절단술(RFA)의 임상적 유효성과 안전성에 대한 연구를 진행하며, 수술 대체 치료 전략으로서의 활성 관찰과 RFA의 역할을 다각도로 분석하고 있습니다. 특히, 진단의 정확도 향상을 위한 조직진단 기법의 개선 및 뇌질환에서의 영상 생물지표 연구까지 영역을 확장하고 있습니다.

Thermal ablation using radiofrequency is a new, minimally invasive modality employed as an alternative to surgery in patients with benign thyroid nodules and recurrent thyroid cancers. After patients have had one FNA of a thyroid nodule yielding inconclusive diagnostic results (nondiagnostic or AUS/FLUS), CNB is more useful than rFNA for reducing the frequency of inconclusive diagnostic results. CNB will improve the diagnostic performance for malignancy more than rFNA in thyroid nodules that on the first FNA had nondiagnostic or AUS/FLUS readings.

Metabolite ratios were significantly different between short and intermediate TE. Cho/Cr and LL/Cr ratios at either TE were similarly useful in differentiating high-grade gliomas from low-grade gliomas. If only a single spectroscopic sequence can be acquired, short TE seems preferable because of poor lactate inversion at intermediate TE on 3T single-voxel (1)H-MR spectroscopy.
