이 교수의 연구실은 해양 생태계의 환경 스트레스, 특히 산성화가 유비생물인 순환모래벌레(회충류)에 미치는 다세대 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 주로 산화적 스트레스 반응, DNA 손상, 항산화 체계의 기능적 적응을 분자생물학적·유전적 접근으로 규명하며, 특히 글루타티온 S-transfer라제(GST)와 미토콘드리아 게놈 분석을 통해 생물의 생존 메커니즘을 탐구하고 있습니다. 또한, 생물학적 스트레스 반응과 신경망의 이상치 탐지 간의 유사성을 연결지어, 데이터 기반 모델의 지식 한계를 분석하는 융합 연구도 수행하고 있습니다.
