Jong Hoon Ryu 교수의 연구실은 신경염증과 관련된 뇌질환, 특히 뇌경색과 인지 기능 저하의 분자 기전을 규명하고자 합니다. 마이크로글리아 활성화에 의한 신경염증 반응을 조절하는 천연물질(예: 유파틸린, 단신논 I)의 신경보호 작용에 초점을 맞추며, 특히 MAPK 및 ERK 신호전달 경로를 통한 인지 기능 개선 메커니즘을 연구하고 있습니다. 실험 모델로는 퇴행성 뇌질환 및 약물 유도 인지장애를 유발한 동물 모델을 활용하여, 천연물 기반 신약 개발의 가능성을 탐색하고 있습니다.
