이 교수의 연구실은 관상동맥 질환의 진단 및 치료 전략 개선을 중심으로 한 혈관내 영상 유도 치료, 혈관성형술 기반의 정밀 혈관재관류 전략, 그리고 심근경색 환자에서의 다혈관 병변 관리에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 혈관내 초음파 및 혈류역학적 지표(FFR)를 활용한 정밀 치료 결정에 대한 임상적 증거를 확보하고 있으며, 호흡부전 환자 대상의 프로운 위치 적용에 의한 생존율 향상 전략에 대해서도 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 이는 환자 중심의 최적 치료 전략 수립을 목표로 하는 종합적인 심혈관계 치료 연구입니다.

Among patients with complex coronary-artery lesions, intravascular imaging-guided PCI led to a lower risk of a composite of death from cardiac causes, target-vessel-related myocardial infarction, or clinically driven target-vessel revascularization than angiography-guided PCI. Ventilation in the prone position significantly reduced overall mortality in patients with severe acute respiratory distress syndrome. Sufficient duration of prone positioning was significantly associated with a reduction in overall mortality. Prone ventilation was also significantly associated with pressure ulcers and major airway problems.
In patients with acute MI and multivessel coronary artery disease, a strategy of selective PCI using FFR-guided decision-making was superior to a strategy of routine PCI based on angiographic diameter stenosis for treatment of non-infarct-related artery lesions regarding the risk of death, MI, or repeat revascularization.

In this study, the rate of post-treatment thromboembolism was not significantly different among the treatment groups; however, operative treatment tended towards less post-treatment thromboembolism than other treatment groups.
