The increased primary and secondary antibiotic resistance of H. pylori in Korea is ongoing, and it will become a significant limitation for effective eradication of H. pylori in the future.
Lactobacillus strains had similar moderate antimicrobial activities against uropathogens. Further research is needed to ascertain the strains with the best probiotic potential.
HBW status is associated with overweight/obesity during early childhood. Exclusive breastfeeding is a significant protective factor against overweight/obesity in children with HBW.
The intermittent and volatile nature of renewable energy sources threatens the stable operation of power grids, necessitating dynamically operated energy storage. Power-to-gas technology is a promising method for managing electricity variations on a large gigawatt (GW) scale. The electrolyzer is a key component that can convert excess electricity into hydrogen with high flexibility. Recently, organic/inorganic composite separators have been widely used as diaphragm membranes; however, they are p
GenoType HelicoDR test is useful to determine mutations responsible for clarithromycin or fluoroquinolone-containing eradication failure but has a limitation for the clinical applicability in determination of resistance.
The 15-day sequential therapy demonstrated improved eradication efficacy compared with 7-day PPI triple and 10-day sequential therapy in Korea.
Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) refers to a group of disorders, including Crohn's disease and ulcerative colitis, that exhibit similar but distinct manifestations. These diseases are characterized by refractory and chronic inflammation of the bowel. IBD is usually accompanied by severe symptoms. When a patient presents with suspected IBD, physicians encounter various challenges in terms of diagnosis and treatment. In addition, given such characteristics, the associated medical expenses graduall
Henoch-Schönlein purpura (HSP) is a leukocytoclastic vasculitis classically characterized by palpable purpura, arthritis, abdominal pain and renal disease. In this article, we summarize our current understanding of the pathogenesis of HSP and the implications for improving its diagnosis. Although the pathogenesis of HSP is not fully understood yet, exciting new information has emerged in recent years, leading to a better understanding of its pathogenesis. Here, we discuss genetic predisposition,
CKD-506 blocked NF-κB signaling in IECs and macrophages and ameliorated experimental acute and chronic murine colitis models, which suggests that CKD-506 is a promising candidate for inflammatory bowel disease treatment as a small molecular medicine.
The most of EFCs could be treated by conservative therapy. Air bubble in the epidural space and dural calcification are proposed to be the predictive factors in the formation of EFC after cranioplasty.
miRNA expression of the gastric cancer implies that different but partially common gastric cancer carcinogenic mechanisms might exist according to H. pylori status.
