Kazuo Chin 교수의 연구실은 수면 무호흡증(Sleep Apnea Syndrome, SAS)과 관련된 대사 및 순환계 이상에 대한 기전적 이해를 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 비만, 대사증후군과의 연관성, 낮은 수면 시간이 유발할 수 있는 심혈관계 합병증의 메커니즘을 규명하고 있으며, NCPAP 치료가 체내 레프틴 수치, 피브리노겐 농도 등 생체마커에 미치는 영향을 분석하고 있습니다. 초음파 유도 신경차단의 정밀도 향상 방안에 대해서도 임상적 응용을 목표로 기술적 도전 과제 해결을 위한 연구를 병행하고 있습니다.

Correction of sleep disordered breathing by NCPAP may be used to reduce VFA in OSAS patients. OSAS may have significant effects on the serum leptin levels.
Needle visualization is important for safe and successful ultrasound-guided peripheral nerve block. However, accurate and consistent visualization of the needle tip can be difficult to achieve. This review article describes many of the challenges affecting needle visualization, summarizes the relevant literature on ultrasound imaging of needles, and offers practical strategies for improving needle tip visibility. Finally, future directions for research and development are suggested.
In patients with obstructive sleep apnea syndrome (OSAS), the blood coagulation system may contribute to an increased risk of cardiovascular events, which occur most frequently in the morning. Although increased BMI and age both had a significant effect on the prevalence of OSA in patients with Mets, one of 6 subjects with Mets, but only one of 40 without Mets had severe OSA in an urban male population in Japan. Physicians should take into account this high prevalence of severe OSA in patients with Mets. Sleep duration should be taken into consideration as an important factor in studies investigating the prevalence of severe OSA and Mets.
