Kazuyoshi Kobayashi 교수의 연구실은 고령 환자를 중심으로 한 척추외과 수술의 안전성과 예후 개선을 목표로 하며, 특히 80세 이상 고령 환자에서의 합병증, 수술 시기 선정, 비침습적 수술 기법의 최적화에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 다기관 등록자료를 기반으로 한 장기적 추세 분석과 함께, 척추막내종 등의 신경종양 치료에서 완전 절제의 중요성과 예후 요인을 규명하고 있습니다. 또한 고령 환자에서의 낙상 예방을 위한 위험도 평가 체계 개발 및 실천 방안에 대해서도 지속적인 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

The purpose of this study is to examine trends in spine surgeries at ten facilities over 15 years, and to analyze relationships with the number of spine surgeons at these facilities. LLD is a common pediatric condition that can cause scoliosis of the spine. Severe scoliosis may develop if the LLD is ≥30 mm. Long-term studies are needed to examine the effect of LLD resolution on the elimination of scoliosis.
"The Ponte procedure for indirect spinal cord decompression" is a novel concept used for the first time with thoracic OPLL in our study, and we consider it a useful method to achieve more effectively dekyphosis and indirect spinal cord decompression if there is not the spinal cord free from OPLL on intraoperative ultrasonography after only laminectomies.
