이 교수의 연구실은 비선형 임펄스 방정식과 고전적 스핀체계의 정밀한 해석을 중심으로, 다차원 편미분 방정식의 국소해(특히 다중 솔리톤, 랩, 루프 솔루션 등)를 그람형 행렬식과 다르부 변환을 통해 체계적으로 구축하는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 특히 이시모리 방정식과 카프-뉴웰 방정식 등에서 새로운 형태의 비선형 파동 해를 발견하고, 이들의 동역학적 특성과 구조적 안정성을 분석하는 데 기여하고 있습니다. 또한 생물의학적 응용 분야에서도 산소공급 지수의 임상적 유용성과 모성 면역 활성화 모델에서 수소의 신경보호 효과를 탐색하며 응용 연구를 확장하고 있습니다.
