김야키 와시노 교수의 연구실은 입자 기반 유체-입자 상호작용을 정밀하게 모사하는 데 중점을 두고 있으며, 특히 고체-유체 상호작용을 고려한 CFD-DEM 연계 모델링과 비정상적 거동을 반영한 비국소 모델링 기법을 개발하고 있습니다. 특히 미세·접착성 입자 시스템의 밀도 구조 형성, 수분 분포 및 습식 제립 공정 내 액체 분포를 고해상도로 예측하는 데 기여하고 있습니다. 이는 실세계의 입자 시스템을 보다 정확하게 시뮬레이션할 수 있도록 하는 데 기여합니다.

Discrete Element Method (DEM) is widely applied to the numerical simulations of fluidized beds. However, the computational expense increases explosively as the number of particles increases. A resolved CFD–DEM coupling model for the simulation of particulate flows is proposed in this work.
