김인오리 교수의 연구실은 장내 면역과 미생물 군집 유지에 핵심적인 역할을 하는 패내세포(Paneth cell)의 기능과 그 조절 메커니즘을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히, 패내세포가 분비하는 α-데프린신 등 항미생물 펩티드의 분비 조절, 수면 장애와 장내 미생물군 변화의 연관성, 그리고 생체 시계와의 상호작용을 중심으로 장내 환경 균형 유지를 규명하고자 합니다. 이와 더불어, 흡연이 심장혈관질환에 미치는 영향과 장내 미생물 변화 간의 상호작용에 대해서도 다각도로 연구하고 있습니다.
