오국환 교수의 연구실은 만성 신장질환(CKD)의 진행 양상과 합병증, 특히 병태생리학적 기전과 생존 예후를 다각도로 연구하고 있습니다. 주요 연구 방향은 복강내 배액에서의 염증 반응(예: IL-6), 영양 상태와 단백질 섭취의 영향, 그리고 신장 기능 보존과 심혈관 결과에 영향을 미치는 요인들입니다. 특히 한국의 대규모 CKD 코hort인 KNOW-CKD를 기반으로 한 장기적 관찰 연구를 통해 임상적 실질적 통찰을 도출하고 있습니다.
