코이시 나가타 교수의 연구실은 혈소판과 백혈구 간의 상호작용이 면역 반응 및 염증 반응에 미치는 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 P-선택인과 당지사슬 간의 상호작용이 중성구와 단핵구의 활성화를 유도하는 메커니즘을 규명하며, 염증성 질환 및 관절염의 발달 기전을 밝혀내는 데 초점을 맞추고 있습니다. 또한 척추외과 수술 후 회복 과정에서 당뇨병이 통증 및 저림증상에 미치는 영향에 대해서도 임상적 연구를 수행하고 있습니다.

Activated platelets expressing P-selectin in their surfaces are known to adhere to monocytes and neutrophils. We examined the possibility that the leukocytes are functionally modified by their adhesion to activated platelets. In May 2020, the first SoE period of the COVID-19 pandemic, the number of inpatient orthopedic surgeries in Japan decreased by 30%. Meanwhile, the decrease was relatively small during the SoE periods in 2021.
HU on lumbar CT in children and adolescents with DEXA Z -scores <-2.0, were lower when compared with healthy matched controls. This study suggests that HU on opportunistic CT scans of the spine may be used as a reasonable proxy for BMD in the pediatric population.
