코스케 나메카타 교수의 연구실은 태양형 항성에서 발생하는 초강력 플레어(superflares)와 그 기원, 영향을 중심으로 연구를 진행하고 있습니다. 특히 태양과 유사한 항성에서 관측되는 백색광 플레어, 필라멘트 분출, 코로날 질량 분출(CME)의 연관성과 동역학을 다각도로 분석하며, 천체물리학적 메커니즘과 행성계 환경에 미치는 영향을 탐구하고 있습니다. Kepler 및 TESS 위성 데이터를 활용한 광학 스펙트로스코피 및 광도 관측을 통해 항성 활동성과 플레어 발생 메커니즘을 정량적으로 분석하고 있습니다.

Recently, many superflares on solar-type stars have been discovered as white-light flares (WLFs). The statistical study found a correlation between their energies ($E$) and durations ($\tau$): $\tau \propto E^{0.39}$ (Maehara et al. 2017 $EP\& S$, 67, 59), similar to those of solar hard/soft X-ray flares: $\tau \propto E^{0.2-0.33}$. The analysis shows that the observed fraction of stars with superflares decreases as the rotation period increases and as the amplitude of photometric variability associated with rotation decreases. Abstract We report on a superoutburst of a WZ Sge-type dwarf nova (DN), ASASSN-15po. The light curve showed the main superoutburst and multiple rebrightenings. In this outburst, we observed early superhumps and growing (stage A) superhumps with periods of 0.050454(2) and 0.051809(13) d, respectively.
