코이치 타카하시 교수의 연구실은 복합재료의 구조적 건강 관리와 나노복합소재의 전기적 특성 및 반응성에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히 그래프트/폴리머 복합재에서 전기 저항의 온도 의존성과 자가진단 구조 시스템(ACN)을 활용한 피로 및 손상 모니터링 기술을 개발하고 있으며, 고온 안정성과 열적 복구 기능을 갖춘 복합소재의 설계도 진행 중입니다. 또한 N-하이드로기클 카바나이드(이소프로필렌)를 이용한 고도로 선택적인 유기 반응 개발을 통해 신소재 합성에도 기여하고 있습니다.

This article investigates the dependency of electrical resistance on temperature for graphite/polymer composites. The electrical resistance change of a unidirectional laminate is measured with elevated temperature in the fiber, transverse and through-thickness directions. The reaction is highly regio- and stereoselective and provides stable NHC-(<i>E</i>)-alkynylalkenylboranes.
Polyfluoroarenes work as good radical acceptors in the thermal radical reaction with N-heterocyclic carbene boranes (NHC-boranes) in the presence of di-<i>tert</i>-butyl peroxide. In this reaction, a C-F bond of polyfluoroarenes is substituted with an NHC-boryl group to provide <i>B</i>-aryl NHC-borane derivatives. This study extensively investigates the fibrillation process of a pressure-sensitive adhesive (PSA) using a probe-tack test. It was conducted using a glass sphere at the millimeter scale for various thicknesses of PSA layers laminated on a glass substrate, on various contact areas. Statistical diagnosis using electrical resistance changes is performed to detect a delamination crack in a CFRP beam. This method enables to reduce data required for damage identification.
