3D bone models constructed from low-radiation dose CT data demonstrated the same level of accuracy as those constructed from normal-radiation dose data. The present simulation system can produce 3D bone models with one-thirtieth of the normal radiation dose in the forearm.
Customized hydroxyapatite implants are helpful for accurate correction and good functional results.

Our method resulted in a good diagnostic rate, even when using a relatively small amount of data.
Abstract Attempts to separate congenital radioulnar synostosis and restore forearm rotation had been disappointing until a new mobilization technique was developed by Kanaya and colleagues using free vascularized fascio‐fat graft interposition. This technique provides a functional rotation arc, but postoperative forearm motion is difficult to evaluate given the inaccuracies in determining the range of motion and rotational axis using conventional x‐rays or computed tomography. This study represe
This report describes the clinical application of an ultrasonic aspirator for endoscopic neurosurgery. Eight patients with intraventricular hematoma with complete tamponade of the ventricular system and marked hydrocephalus were treated with the ultrasonic aspirator for endoscopic neurosurgery. Clinical evaluation and neuroimaging studies were obtained for one month. Removal of hematoma was confirmed on follow-up imaging. The ultrasonic aspirator is operated by electrostriction transducer on low
Scaphoid nonunion causes abnormal wrist kinematics and typically leads to carpal collapse and subsequent degenerative arthritis of the wrist. However, the natural history, including carpal collapse and degenerative arthritis of scaphoid nonunion, may vary at different fracture locations. This article reviews recent biomechanical studies related to the natural history of scaphoid nonunion. In the distal-type fractures (type B2 in Herbert classification), where the fracture located distal to the s
