Kyu-Sung Lee 교수의 연구실은 간질성 방광, 만성 소변실금, 비만성 방광 증후군 등 복잡한 소변배출 장애를 가진 환자를 대상으로 한 신경학적, 수술적, 전자적 접근을 융합한 연구를 수행하고 있습니다. 특히 소변실금 치료의 최적화를 위해 보조기구, 전자 장치 및 신체적 유연성과 통합된 전자 소재의 개발에도 주력하고 있으며, 정신건강과 소변배출 장애의 상관관계에 대한 기전 연구도 진행 중입니다. 이는 환자의 삶의 질 향상을 위한 종합적이고 혁신적인 접근을 목표로 합니다.

This study reveals that combination therapy consisting of alpha1-adrenoceptor antagonists with antimuscarinics represents an effective and relatively safe treatment modality in select patients with OAB coexisting with benign prostatic obstruction.
The repeat mid urethral sling for persistent or recurrent stress urinary incontinence has a lower cure rate than the initial sling. However, the retropubic approach tends to have a higher cure rate than the transobturator approach in repeat sling cases.
The tension-free vaginal tape and transobturator vaginal tape inside-out procedures were minimally invasive and similar in operation related morbidity. Transobturator vaginal tape inside-out appeared to be as effective and safe as tension-free vaginal tape for the surgical treatment of stress urinary incontinence in women at 1-year followup.
