마쿠토 후지이 교수의 연구실은 면역세포의 내포작용 및 세포 신호전달 메커니즘을 중심으로, Rac1 활성화와 매크로피노시토시스의 조절 원리를 광유도 제어 기술을 활용해 규명하고 있습니다. 또한 인산화된 인오스itol 유도체의 생합성 및 GABA(A) 수용체의 세면상 운반 조절 메커니즘을 밝혀내며 신경전달물질 수용체의 조절 기전에 기여하고 있습니다. 최근에는 간췌장 지방축적과 만성췌장염의 연관성에 대한 기초 연구도 수행하고 있습니다.
