마사나오 나카무라 교수의 연구실은 소장 출혈의 정확한 진단과 치료를 위한 내 endoscopy 기술의 응용에 중점을 두고 있습니다. 특히, 복부 영상 소견이 정상이거나 경도의 협착이 의심되는 환자에서 소장의 통과 가능성을 평가하는 태그리스 PC(캡슐 endoscopy) 기술의 임상적 유용성에 대해 연구하고 있습니다. 또한, 소장 출혈의 원인을 정밀하게 규명하고자 CE(Capsule Endoscopy)와 DBE(Double-Balloon Endoscopy)를 연계한 진단 알고리즘을 개발하고 있습니다.

In many suspected small-bowel bleeding cases, CE should be selected for the initial diagnosis and DBE for treatment or histopathological diagnosis after detection of the bleeding site on CE.
Use of the tag-less PC confirmed gastrointestinal tract patency for most of the patients who did not have stenosis on imaging and allowed estimation of the patency for patients who did have stenosis on imaging.
