마시키 모리타 교수의 연구실은 고온에서 안정적으로 작동하는 고체산화물 연료전지(SOFC)의 성능 향상과 내구성 향상을 목표로 하며, 특히 암모니아를 연료로 사용하는 SOFC 시스템의 기반 기술 개발에 주력하고 있습니다. FIB-SEM를 활용한 3차원 미세구조 분석과 수치 시뮬레이션을 융합하여, 다공성 양극의 전기화학적 반응 메커니즘과 물질 이동 거동을 정량적으로 규명하고 있습니다. 연구는 전극의 미세구조 설계, 촉매 개발, 내부 상태 분포 해석 등 다각도로 전개되어, 고효율·고내구성 연료전지의 실현을 위한 기초 및 응용 연구를 선도하고 있습니다.

Abstract Power generation performance and long‐term durability of ammonia‐fueled solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) systems are investigated with SOFC stacks consisting of 30 planar anode‐supported cells. SOFC systems with three different operation modes are employed: direct ammonia, external decomposition and autothermal decomposition. Active thickness in SOFC anodes is investigated by using one-dimensional numerical simulation. The effects of the operating conditions and the microstructural parameters of the porous anodes on the active thickness are systematically investigated.
