미우카미 교수의 연구실은 방사능 오염과 환경 오염 물질의 건강 영향을 중심으로 한 위험 커뮤니케이션 및 환경위생 연구를 수행합니다. 특히 후쿠시마 원전 사고 이후의 방사능에 대한 공공의 위험 인식, 스트레스 및 건강 위험 전달 방식에 중점을 두고 있으며, 수질 오염물질인 퍼플루오로화합물(PFAS)의 환경 분포와 인간 노출 위험도 함께 연구하고 있습니다. 이들의 연구는 과학적 데이터와 사회적 인식을 융합해 실질적인 공공보건 정책을 제안하는 데 기여하고 있습니다.

Perfluorinated surfactants (PFSs) in groundwater were analyzed to reveal their distribution and sources.
