PRP with fractional laser treatment is a good combination therapy for skin rejuvenation. Keratinocyte and fibroblast proliferation and collagen production can explain the capacity of PRP to increase dermal elasticity.
IFUS can be used as a non-invasive, skin-tightening procedure for infraorbital laxity. No serious, permanent, or delayed side effects were noted up to 6 months post treatment. Thus, this procedure can be effective and safe in the treatment of decreased laxity of the lower eyelids.
The plasma fractional radiofrequency and transepidermal delivery of platelet-rich plasma using ultrasound is useful in the treatment of striae distensae.
It is very likely that IGH is a phenomenon associated with the skin's normal aging process and repeated microtrauma to skin.
HIFU affects deep tissues and impacts focal regions. Monopolar RF also affects deep tissues, but impacts diffuse regions. We believe these data provide further insight into effective skin tightening.
Cyclic peptoids are emerging as an attractive class of peptidomimetics. Compared to their linear counterparts, cyclic peptoids should have increased conformational rigidity and preorganized structures, enabling them to bind more tightly to target proteins without major entropy penalty. Because cyclic peptoids lack the amide protons in their backbones like linear peptoids, it is perceived that cyclic peptoids are seemingly cell permeable as much as linear peptoids. However, no systematic investig
In this in vivo study, we found that the collagen and elastic fiber densities and architectural structures were improved after treatment.
A variety of regulations are involved in the design of an automobile frontal structure. The regulations are pedestrian protection, the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) part 581 bumper test, and the Research Council for Automobile Repairs (RCAR) test. The frontal structure consists of the bumper system and a crash box that connects the bumper system and the main body. The detailed design of the bumper system is performed to meet two conditions: first, regulation for pedestrian protec
This study provides the first comparison of MTZs induced by various fractional lasers and RF. These data provide basic information on proper laser and RF options. We think that these findings could be a good reference for information about fractional laser-assisted drug delivery.
Hyaluronic acid filler intradermal injection with special injector is a safe and effective method for correction of nasojugal groove.
Skin aging is associated with changes in both the mechanical properties of the skin and extracellular matrix (ECM) components. In this study, we investigated the relationships between mechanical property and aging biomarkers in passaged human dermal fibroblasts (HDFs). The stiffness of HDFs from passages 5-20 was assessed by atomic force microscopy. The ECM components including collagen, elastin, and fibrillin-1 and that of signaling molecules (SIRTs) were determined from each passage of cells.
Hyaluronic acid (HA) fillers have been widely used for soft-tissue augmentation. However, there can be various complications following HA filler injection. Skin necrosis is rare but one of the most disastrous side effects that, if not treated promptly and effectively, can result in permanent and potentially disfiguring scarring. Thus, early proper management is important. Herein we report a patient who experienced tissue necrosis of the glabellar area after receiving filler injections that was s
Our results suggest that reductions in the expression levels of MMPs and collagen types I and III in aging human dermal fibroblasts reflect reduced expression of TGF-β/Smad and TGF-β receptors, thus compromising the TGF-β receptor-binding capacity of fibroblasts; the NF-κB and Akt-JNK/MAPK signaling pathways may play active roles in this process.
